CFDA partners with Nineteenth Amendment to Bring Inventory-Less Retailing and On-Demand USA Manufacturing to its Members
At Nineteenth Amendment we’re shaping the fashion industry and today marks a milestone in that journey. Nineteenth Amendment is proud to announce our partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
The CFDA, which was founded in 1962 by Eleanor Lambert and is now run by president Diane Von Furstenburg and CEO Steven Kolb, has a mission to strengthen the influence and success of American designers and this partnership marks another milestone in that mission. Nineteenth Amendment helps fashion brands of all sizes to pre-sell with domestic quick turn production in 6 weeks or less, manufacturing transparency, and inventory-less direct to consumer sales all managed through our easy to use software, which only designers and manufacturers see! Given the current retail environment we thought there was no better time to give CFDA brands access to the Nineteenth Amendment platform which provides a way to reshore production through a network of vetted USA manufacturers and sell direct to consumers without inventory risk.
Who is part of the prestigious CFDA you ask? The CFDA boasts over 1,000 designer members many who you may recognize like Calvin Klein, Tory Burch, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford, Mara Hoffman, Ralph Lauren, Betsey Johnson, Nanette Lepore, Thakoon Panichgul, Isaac Mizrahi, Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez, Cynthia Rowley, Rachel Roy, Alexander Wang, Vera Wang, Jeremy Scott, Jason Wu, Christian Siriano, and Rachel Zoe (just to name a few!). Through our partnership these members and up-and-coming CFDA designers will now have access to Nineteenth Amendment!
Our founders and the CFDA weighed in on this on this landmark partnership:
“We are committed to creating a better place for fashion,” said Nineteenth Amendment Co-founders Amanda Curtis and Gemma Sole. “To fulfill that promise, we offer both technology tools and industry expertise to help designers succeed. We’re thrilled to bring our technology and retailing business model to CFDA members to help them re-shore production, create sustainable businesses, and reach shoppers directly.”
“As part of our mission, CFDA is always looking to add partners that can provide our members with innovative production concepts,” said Ashley-Brooke Sandall, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the CFDA. “Nineteenth Amendment’s offers an innovative retail strategy.”
Nineteenth Amendment has contracted over 500 brands globally, partnered with vetted manufacturers across the USA, and is proud to be working with the CFDA and its designer brands to make designers’ lives easier and businesses more efficient through high quality domestic production and inventory-less direct-to-consumer sales all managed through Nineteenth Amendment’s platform.
