Around this time last year, Nineteenth Amendment began piloting small-run production in Puerto Rico after becoming one of the first startups to join, Parallel18 – reinvigorating the Puerto Rican economy and growing the PR startup ecosystem. Over the course of our time there, we formed strong connections with designers, manufacturers, and local businesses while exploring the talent and design heritage of the island.

Nineteenth Amendment will donate 100% of our commissions on garment sales made during the month of October to Puerto Rico recovery fund ConPRmetidos. Their fund (helpprdespacito.com) will finance three long-term relief efforts with immediate impact: needs assessment efforts, long-term structural repairs to the most vulnerable communities, and power as a service.
